Jimmie's Ladder 11
About us
The building was originally erected as a firehouse in 1892 and with our Grand Opening on 11/11/11 we've been serving the Dayton area as a Family business for more than a decade.
The Ladder Family: Founder Jimmie Brandell started in the restaurant business at age 16, under his mentor, Upper Krust Restaurant founder Jack Rouda. Jimmie worked his way up to Manager of the Upper Krust, well-known for their overstuffed deli sandwiches. Jimmie remained in the restaurant & bar business in various capacities over next 25 years.
In 2004, Jimmie opened Jimmie's Cornerstone Bar & Grille at 1001 Brown Street in Dayton. The building traced its colorful history back to the 1860's. It was a spot known for great bar food and late night entertainment.
Jimmie and his wife and co-owner Sue have retired. Jimmie’s Ladder 11 is now owned and operated by their son, Nick.
